Night Time Visitor (bottom)

A truly
lumbering,
very large
(-gigantonormous-)
frog...
we stumbled
upon at night.

His little arms
had joints...
and
he looked as if
he
could do push-ups
and hang
unto a tree trunk.
He was really strange.
We kept him
under
a laundry
basket for
our daughter
to see!
Just another
cool example
of how nature

is very
LARGE
in...

the
High Country

... here :)

And...
another recent
visitor.

The Beautious and the Not So

skies

and

Pencils?

Some of the
wood
we recovered
from
the Ice Storm
(of Dec. 25, 2009.)
Basically, our
entire property
was covered
in downed
tree limbs,
whole trees
and branches
and thousands
of twigs....

which I have

been painstakingly
raking up for days!
(I'm still NOT done!)
We were able to
replace OVER
a cord of
firewood
for next year :)
But it is beautiful~eh?

Hard

... to obtain
this particular
this shot!
A poem/song
I sang with K-3
year olds that I
taught last year:
"Butterfly butterfly
flutter by, flutter by
butterfly.
Butterfly butterfly
flutter by, flutter by--
flutter by me!!"

The Morning Lends Itself...

most graciously.

The red sky
mornings
are a bit
of an
anomaly....
(They have
to be
caught
early~
at about
6:30ish
right
now!!)
TOP:
Ferns
unfolding...
so very cute!
