Shiny Stars

Shiny stars all around
rolling off my fingertips
and pressing 'gainst my nose

Shiny stars in pockets mine

tethered moonbeams bobble

Shiny stars like elephants
zip to here-and zip to there
...not hobble.

Shiny stars fill our dreams
not crusted over, wind swept creeping
memories past adorned with sorrow--
but with gleeful promises kept;
sweet promise of
tomorrow.
